Siteki is a Swahili name which means 'Marrying place. ' The city is well known as the trading and administrative centre, situated within the Lubombo province of Swaziland. The city was formerly called 'stegi.' This is a beautiful place set on a hill of approximately 1000m above sea level. The main project to boost the city was the construction of a large multi purpose market for use by various entrepreneurs and businesses. Visitors can stay in hotels, lodge, chalets or choose camping. A tour of the craft market with various local traditional arts and crafts will ensure an unforgettable visit. There is a historic Mabuda Farm in Siteki where beef, maize and dairy are produced.
