Hluhluwe is situated between iSimangaliso Wetland Park and Hluhluwe–iMfolozi Park on the banks of the Hluhluwe River. It is a small town in northern KwaZulu-Natal. It is an area known for its national parks, natural diversity and cultural heritage. In the area they produce timber, sugar and pineapples and other agricultural produce includes sugar-cane, sisal, cotton, tomatoes and chillies. The town is considered the hub of tourism in KwaZulu-Natal.
