Kei Mouth is a resort town situated wild coast region, Eastern Cape Province. The town is well known for the annual events held there like the challenging Imana Wild Ride and the and the Wild Run series events. One of the remaining Pont, car-transporting pontoon river ferry services which carry vehicles, passengers and livestock across the Great Kei. The history of the town dates back when the town was a frontline of a buffer zone created by the British after the 8th Frontier War. A fort was then established along with a detachment of British soldiers.
