Sodwana Bay is located along the Kwazulu Natal coast, within the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park (Isimangaliso). The Sodwana National Park is a narrow strip of forested sand dunes and was declared a national park in the 1950s. The Bay is a very popular angling spot, and also one of the top dive sites in the world. Here you can see spectacular coral reefs, the most southern tropical reefs in the world, and in summer loggerhead and leather back turtles come out to nest on the beaches. Guided turtle tours are a popular activity provided in the area.
