Worcester lies on the N1 about a 100km North West of Cape Town, cradled by the Overhex, Brandwacht and Langeberg Mountains (1989m). Worcester has beautifully broad streets, grassy side-paths and gardens well supplied with water from the Brandvlei dam. The streets are planted with double rows of firs, blue gums, and poplars. The Breede and Hex Rivers flow on either side of the town. The town is surrounded by wine and table grape farms which create employment opportunities for much of the population. Taste and buy the award winning wines of the Worcester Winelands, which promises to be great value for money.
