Situated within the Swartland region of the Western Cape, Riebeek West is part of the Riebeek Valley and just 3km from Riebeek Kasteel. The town was a district of the Swartland congregation of the Dutch reformed church in Malmesbury. Today is stands as its own entity and small town.
