Heidelberg is located on the N2 and is included in the well-known tourist Garden Route. It is about half way between Cape Town and Knysna. Heidelberg is today what once was known as Doornboom Farm. The oldest house in Heidelberg is located in Fourie Street and is called the Fourie House. (Aug-13).
