Albertinia is situated just off the N2 between Riversdale and Mossel Bay on the Garden Route. It is most famous for its abundance of aloes growing in the area. It is a small friendly town with agriculture being the most important contributor to the local economy. Albertinia is home to one of the only few remaining sand golf-courses in South Africa. The town enjoys long hot summers from September to April and mild, rainy winters from May to August.
