East London Museum is a rich natural and cultural museum which was established in 1921 in the quiet town of East London. The museum is subdivided into different departments such as the Education, Humanities, Natural Sciences and Library sections. Displays in these departments includes a range of excavation of a large fossil reptile skull and skeletons, beadwork relating to the Xhosa-speaking people and maritime history of the area information. Various exhibitions are conducted each year such as the World War I Centenary Exhibition, 1914 - 1918, natural history displays and human history displays to mention a few. The museum have different entrance with a museum front of house entrance, museum shop, bird gallery and fish gallery entrance. They welcome people of all age group with school group catered for, have ample parking area with a municipal bus stop nearby. There is a library open to the public on specified times as well. However an entrance fee is payable to enter the museum.
