Day 1 of the hike takes you through forests and beautiful fynbos and rugged rock formation. It will take approx 4 hours to the cave. Day 2 will take you from Ontongskop back to the farmhouse. Open fires are not allowed. You have to be self-sufficient. You need to be moderately fit for this hike, and be able to cope with summer heat and cold winter conditions. .
