Limpopo’s Wolkberg Wilderness Area is a 22,000ha reserve of craggy mountains, dense woodlands and rolling grasslands. Wolkberg Nature Reserve is located in Magoebaskloof outside Tzaneen in Limpopo province. They have a number of good trails winding through the mountains and waterfalls. Ideal for hiking and nature enthusiasts with hiking trail with waterfalls along the trail. There are marked trails, but you can walk anywhere you want, exploring dramatic gorges and cliffs, thickly forested ravines and wide-open grasslands. Enjoy swimming in clear stream, refreshing waterfalls and potholed pools. There are various camping sites around the reserve which have only basic facilities. Campers must be totally self-sufficient in terms of food supplies and water. There are no ablution facilities. Vehicles are not allowed beyond the designated camping areas. Costs are calculated based on a number of things. On arriving, you will pay an entry fee per person, per car and per trailer. If you stay at the campsite at the forest station, you will pay a camping fee per tent per night and if you go hiking you will pay a fee for going hiking
