Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens was formerly known as the Transvaal National Botanic Garden. It is a botanical garden dating back to 1982. The garden consist of 600 naturally occurring plant species, rocky Highveld grassland and dense bush along the streams and in kloofs. Reptiles and small mammals can be spotted while there a wide bird species. The garden facilities includes the Sasol Dam and Bird Hide, entrance building, the Nestle Environmental Education Centre and paving of the main walkway. The garden itself is also divided into various section named according to the plant species in that sections. These includes geological Garden, People's Plant Garden, Birds and Butterfly Garden, Dell section and wild flower. (Nov-15).
